Idyllwild’s Camp Emerson History

Serving Scouting Since 1920

Celebrating out historic camp and Scouting’s Summer Camp presence in Idyllwild since 1919.

Scouts have spent their Summers in Idyllwild since the first camp at Gray’s Meadow in 1919, and have camped at Camp Emerson since the Summer of 1920.

In the past century, tens of thousands of Scouts and Scouters have camped at Camp Emerson. We hope you can enjoy and contribute to the growing body of historical research and documentation for Camp Emerson, its contribution to Scouting history, and how it will contribute to the future of Inland Empire Scouting.
